Competitive Academy (11U-14U)

Competitive Academy (11U & 12U)
Players are selected during open tryouts. Format for these age groups is 9v9. Coaches evaluate current and new players on skill, attitude, athleticism and ability.  Teams are formed based on the ranked evaluations of the coaching staff.  The 11U and 12U programs form teams based on skills development and teamwork, as this is an important transition age for players. If more than one team is formed the players will be divided into a 1st team and 2nd team based on ability.  However, because players can develop quickly at this age the coaches will have the opportunity to move players from one team to another at anytime during the season.  Coaches will notify the player and parents if a move is needed during the season.  ASA 11U and 12U’s may play in local tournaments and travel 2-3 times per season. 12U teams may also participate in the TN State League for qualification into the State Cup.

Competitive Academy (13U & 14U)
Players are selected during open tryouts. Format for these age groups is 11v11. Coaches evaluate current and new players on skill, attitude, athleticism and ability.  Teams are formed based on the ranked evaluations of the coaching staff.  If more than one team is formed the players will be divided into a 1st team and 2nd team based on ability.  Players can still develop at different rates at this age and coaches may have the opportunity to move players from one team to another at the end of each season.  Coaches will notify the player and parents if a move is needed to benefit the player.  ASA 13U and 14U’s may play in local tournaments and travel 2-3 times per season. They may also participate in the TN State League for qualification into the State Cup.

Every effort will be made to accommodate all players who wish to play competitive soccer, although no guarantees are given or implied that a child will play on the same team from year to year.  The Arlington Soccer Academy programs are committed to forming as many age specific teams as qualified player numbers allow.  Available player numbers and roster size restrictions mandate no guarantees that enough roster spaces will be available to accommodate all who wish to play.
